Since 2006, the Embassy of China in Timor-Leste, commissioned by the China Scholarship Council, has enrolled 21 Timorese students in five batches to study in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship.

In 2011, the Chinese Government will go on to provide chance for some students from Timor-Leste to study in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship.
