On September 16, 2019, Ambassador Xiao Jianguo paid a visit to the National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL) and attended the 19th anniversary of celebrating the establishment of UNTL. During the visit, Ambassador Xiao donated a number of football equipments to the UNTL football team, and announced that the Embassy will set up the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” program in UNTL to help UNTL students better complete their studies.

UNTL Rector Dr. Francisco Miguel Martins had a cordial talk with Ambassador Xiao and thanked the Chinese Embassy for the help and support to UNTL.
